• Q. My child is on a gluten free diet. Can my child consume Karihome formulas?

Yes, your child can consume Karihome formulas at ease. Our formulas do not contain gluten cereal ingredients (e.g. wheat, rye, barley, oat) or ingredients derived from gluten cereal ingredients.

  • Q. My child is allergic to eggs. Can he consume Karihome Goat Milk formulas?

Yes, he can! Rest assured that none of the ingredients used in Karihome Goat Milk formulas contain eggs or are derived from eggs.

  • Q. Why does the aluminum foil cover on the can bulge and can it still be used?

To keep the milk powder fresh, our manufacturer – Dairy Goat Co-Operative adds nitrogen and carbon dioxide inside the tin. When the gas filling is too full and the aluminum foil will protrude, rest assured this will not affect the quality.

  • Q. Why do I find lumps of milk powder in my can of formula?

    Is this normal?
Yes. Small, soft lumps can sometimes form during transport or storage and are usually harmless.

    Why does this happen?
Movement during transport can create static electricity, causing the milk powder to lightly clump. Warm or humid conditions may also cause natural milk sugars to form tiny crystals.

    Is it safe to consume?
Yes — if the powder looks normal, smells normal, and the lumps break apart easily when pressed or mixed. The nutritional value is not affected.

What should I do if I see small lumps?
Use a clean spoon to gently press or sieve the powder before preparation. It will dissolve normally.

When should I NOT use the milk formula?
If you see hard lumps together with colour changes (yellowish or brown), or notice an unusual smell or taste. This may indicate spoilage — please discard the product.

How should I store milk formula?

    • Store unopened tins in a cool, dry place
    • After opening, keep the lid tightly closed
    • Avoid heat and humidity
    • Use within 4 weeks and before the expiry date
  • Q. After mixing my child's formula, why do I find bubbly foam?

Karihome milk powders are rich in quality protein, so you may see foam in the milk bottle after mixing. Rest assured this is normal and the feed is safe for consumption.

One of the reasons you find excessive bubbly foam is due to vigorously shaking of the milk bottle during milk preparation. Excessive bubbly foam (additional air) can hinder your child's digestion or cause digestion issues in little ones, making them feel uncomfortable after feeding. Should you find excessive bubbly foam after preparing a feed, scoop it out of the bottle before giving the bottle to your little one.

It is recommended to rotate and swirl the milk bottle when preparing your child's feed. Gently swirl the bottle until no bubbles appear. Try to mix it with 40 ~ 45 ° C lukewarm water, as this temperature will produce least bubbles. Do not shake the bottle up and down and from side to side, as it will cause more bubbles.

  • Q. Why are there white spots on the bottle after mixing? Is this normal? Does it have any impact on gastrointestinal absorption?

Our manufacturing process firstly uses spray-drying to make the base powder, and then uses dry-blending to mix the ingredients. It is to protect the unique ingredients in the product, such as the nutritional completeness and effectiveness of the water-soluble dietary fiber oligosaccharides.

During milk preparation, after milk powder is added to water for mixing, the fine milk powder particles will adhere to the wall of the milk bottle without affecting the safety and quality of the food. Rest assured nutrition in the product will not be lost, and it will not affect gastrointestinal absorption.

Karihome milk powder provides proper nutrition to support children's growth and development.
